A Mother’s Instinct, a Psychologist’s Mindset, and a Mission to Nourish the Next Generation
In our special Featuring Mama Series, we shine a light on mothers who are boldly carving new paths—not only for their own families but for families everywhere. These women are cycle-breakers, community builders, and brave visionaries shaping a better future for our children. Today, we are honored to feature Trish Golderer, the Co-Founder and CEO of Little One Nutrition Co., whose journey into motherhood unlocked a mission much greater than she ever imagined.
Meet Trish
“Hi! My name is Trish Golderer and I am the Co-Founder and CEO of Little One Nutrition Co. As a trained Psychologist, I've always been a problem solver while leaning on science-backed solutions. Becoming a Mom and feeding my daughter required those same principles. I dedicated 10 years of my career to building a virtual coaching platform where I established a team of health and wellness experts and matched them with clients based on their goals. But after watching my daughter get sick on cow milk based formulas and how her symptoms rapidly improved after receiving a goat milk based formula, as a mother, it set me on a new trajectory.”
On What Mother's Day Really Means
We asked Trish what Mother’s Day evokes for her—not just the polished surface, but the honest emotion beneath. Her reflection is a beautiful reminder of how motherhood connects us through generations.
“Growing up, Mothers Day always felt like a celebration of our family which, now looking back, was an intentional reflection of my mother. She took pride and joy in the family she built and that day was focussed on tradition and fun in order to highlight that. It’s only becoming a mother myself did I realize how much I want to emulate those sentiments. Carrying on the same traditions from the mothers day I experienced as a kid, allows a piece of my mother to always live through me and my children. So for me, Mother’s Day isn’t about pampering (although every mom deserves to carve out that uninterrupted self care) but rather a celebration of the family I’m building and a reflection of what mothering means to me.”
The Birth of Little One Nutrition
Born out of necessity and led by instinct, Little One Nutrition is more than just a business—it’s an extension of Trish’s own journey through motherhood.
“Little One was born out of the necessity to feed my own daughter after I lost my milk supply, needed to turn formula, and watched her get sick from cow milk based infant formulas. Discovering that Goat Milk is the closest alternative to human breast milk, I quickly tapped into my entrepreneurial instincts and started to build a solution for parents here in the US. In May of 2024, I decided it was time to change the feeding narrative for parents seeking better, more digestible, and more wholesome breast milk alternatives for their babies.
Building Little One has been both an empowering and healing experience. Nothing more could be tied stronger to my experience as a mother. It starts with a product to feed babies but it will grow into a community and company that elevates family life as a whole.”
The Power of Mindset
Mindset is at the heart of everything we do here at The Mindset Tapestry. So, we asked Trish how her mental framework shapes her dual roles as founder and mother.
“Always expect the unexpected (especially with spunky toddler and startup business)! As a mother and a founder, pivoting and shifting energy is a skill that comes naturally to me and I believe serves me well. I try to be intentional about keeping perspective on the big picture. It’s very easy to get lost in the weeds of daily tasks, routines, and responsibilities. It can and does feel all-consuming on days I don’t check in with my “why” and goals. One skill that I’m still honing, which I’m sure many of you can relate to, is leaning into asking and accepting outside support. Realizing that the super power isn’t being able to “do it all” but rather being able create stronger bonds with those around you by instilling that trust through support.”
Looking Ahead: Hope for the Next Generation
As we close our feature, we asked Trish what drives her forward and how she hopes her work will shape a brighter future—not just for her own child, but for all children.
“I believe if we continue to raise our children in a world that celebrates a “me” mentality, we lose what’s core to the goodness of what it means to live out the human experience. Love, joy, and life satisfaction all spark from our ability to come together with others. That’s why at Little One we created a community called Mothers Society; helping design a society that supports you through motherhood. When we have access to support, resources, and comradery; thriving, instead of drowning, in motherhood becomes a possibility.”
