A month ago, I had the incredible opportunity to pose an entrepreneurial question, specific to my business: The Mindset Tapestry, to Guy Raz and Ariel Kaye on the How I Built This podcast. Talking about my mission-led brand, The Mindset Tapestry, with these two inspirational figures was a moment I’ll never forget. And the best part? The episode aired to the public just a few days ago!
The experience had been a bit surreal, especially considering the journey that led me here. A product I poured my heart and soul into for over a year and a half—juggling long nights after tucking the kids in and a full day of teaching—had received validation from two people I greatly admire and I am inspired by. Sidenote, I have been listening to How I Built This long before The Mindset Tapestry was even a fever dream. I was thrilled when I found out I was going to be on, however, I truly thought I would just get incredible advice. It was an absolute bonus to receive genuine validation from Guy and Ariel about The Mindset Tapestry and how powerful it could be for children.
Reflecting on how far I’ve come in the past year is mind- boggling. Just a year ago, there were no manufacturers, no products, and no tapestries hanging in classrooms or bedrooms. I had just resigned from teaching in a public school and I really did not know what the future would hold. There was only me, a dream, and a lot of visualization meditations! I envisioned a future where The Mindset Tapestry would be featured on "How I Built This," and now that vision has come to fruition.
As I look back, I’m fascinated by how the practices of manifestation, affirmations, and maintaining a positive mindset have played such a pivotal role in this journey. These "woo-woo" concepts, which were absent from life for most of my 35 years, have proven to be incredibly powerful. It’s inspiring to think about how these tools could benefit future generations if they were introduced early in life.
While I’m deeply grateful for the practices I discovered in my 30s, I can’t help but wonder about the possibilities if I had embraced them even earlier. The impact could be truly transformative. My own entrepreneurial and personal journey are both linked so closely to the vision I have for this company and the impact it can make in the world.
This is just the beginning of my journey, and I’m excited to continue sharing The Mindset Tapestry and its message. The power of affirmations, manifestation, and a positive mindset is real, and I’m thrilled to witness their influence firsthand.
Here’s to many more milestones and to spreading positivity and empowerment to as many young minds as possible! 🫶🏼✨🧠
